The ACPSM aims to inform all interested bodies and individuals of the skills and availability of Chartered Physiotherapist thus ensuring they continue to be the professional of choice in the treatment and injury management of the sporting population There are over 1000 members and the ACPSM is committed to promoting best practice in the field of Sports Medicine and provides a framework for a career pathway in Sports Physiotherapy including the creation of a mentoring scheme.

The Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists [AACP] is a Clinical Interest Group [CIG] of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy [CSP]. Its principal aim is the integration of Acupuncture into Physiotherapy Practice for the treatment of pain and systemic illness.

The Society of Orthopaedic Medicine was formed in 1979 to develop the work of Dr James Cyriax and to promote the theory and practice of orthopaedic medicine. Membership consists of approximately 1700 doctors and physiotherapists.

The Manipulation Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (MACP) is a group of over 1000 physiotherapists, who are members of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.

In addition to their undergraduate training they have all undertaken extensive postgraduate study and reached a recognised standard of excellence in neuromusculoskeletal physiotherapy. Their knowledge and practical skills ensures that all MACP Physiotherapists are able to provide an excellent standard of care in examination, treatment and management for people with neuromusculoskeletal problems.
